RENT INCREASES KILLING THE SHOWS FOR EXHIBITORS & VISITORS ALIKE

Due to the continued ludicrous increases in show rents, we are now attending far fewer shows than in previous years.

0ver the last three years we have reduced the shows we are exhibiting from 28 down to just 9.  

If show organizers continue to increase rents  and entry cost's as they have done over the past 5 years, it will only be a matter of time before there will not be enough exhibitors or visitors to put a show on.  This is what happened with the Excel Show in London 5 years ago, and we can see this happening to more shows in the near future.

MCN have played the same game at Excel,  by moving their London Show there from the Alley Pally, and at the same time over doubling the rent on their London Show, like many other exhibitors we are voting with our feet and will not exhibit at their show until they reconsider the rents charged.

Donington Park are the latest to introduce huge increases in rent, a £500 stand at last years WSB round will this year cost £1500, so an exhibitor has to sell twice as much this year just to cover the rent increase, which of course will not happen, so we along with other regular exhibitors there will not be going this year unless they reconsider  their increases.
