CROSSBOW NEWS PAGE

Crossbow's Artwork Business Sold:  As Crossbow's MD John Winthrope will be retiring in approx three years time,  John wanted to secure the future for Steve Whyman after his retirement, as he and Steve had enjoyed a great friendship & business relationship since they met when Steve was an unknown artist 12 years ago.

Crossbow had been approached by three company's regarding the artwork side, but with Steve's best interest at heart the business has been sold to Jap Power, who were one of our dealers. We did not intend to make this move for another couple of years, but with future changes taking place, the time seemed right for both Steve and us.

Steve will continue to work with us on other projects, but the artwork will now be sold via the new owners, and Steve's own website www.stevewhyman.com. Over the next few months we will clear all our stock of Steve's artwork, and have already sold  our stock on some editions. As our stock of prints & canvas sell out,  they will be removed from our website.

This means there will be some bargains for our customers over the next few months. It also means that John will be selling some of his personal art collection, which includes many sold out Steve Whyman prints and canvas, most of which are No 1 from the relevant edition.

We wish The Pencil King well for the future, but with his amazing artistic skill, we know that this is assured. Its been a great ride over the last 12 years, thanks Stevie boy.

Crossbow Calendar  Party's: This year we will be running the 3rd Crossbow Party at the MFN Club in Nottingham. The first two have proved very popular and last years where we had a lot of the calendar bikes on show , plus two of the calendar models was the best yet. Over 250 guest enjoyed the great set from "DIZZY LIZZI" the Thin Lizzi tribute band, plus the Narni Shakers Dance Act.

We are now planning this years party, which will be the same successfull format and will take place at the MFN Clun on SAT 25th October 2008
